Corner Office Space in the Master Bedroom Reveal - Country Peony Blog

I am so happy to share a space that I have been dreaming up for quite some time. I wanted a space that I could call my own to brainstorm, write blog posts, and journal. I am so happy with the final result.

Before we get started on the reveal, I wanted to mention two things: 1) Other than a few art pieces that definitely make the space, most of the items were thrifted or pulled from other areas from my home. So I didn’t spend a lot of money on the space. 2) Please also note that this space is in the corner of our master bedroom (which I plan to share on the blog soon), so it doesn’t take a lot of square footage to create a space just for you. I hope this inspires you to work with what you have to make a space you love! What is the expression: “Bloom Where You Are Planted"?

Since this space is for daydreaming, I like to keep it pretty clutter free and full of inspiration. As you can see flowers are a huge inspiration for me. Also, The minimalist approach helps to keep my mind clutter free, which lets me dream even bigger dreams. I store my crafts in our craft/playroom, and I create primarily on our kitchen table or on the living room floor so this space is dedicated to writing.

It sits right next to our lovely master bathroom, which itself is a fantastic source of design inspiration.

The design inspiration came from this stunning Rifle Paper Co Luxembourg Rose Printed Rug. I am a huge fan of Rifle Paper Co., and as soon as they came out with a rug line I had my eye on this one. My office is the perfect spot for it, and it set the tone for a sweet color palette that plays beautifully with the Gray Owl by Benjamin Moore shiplap walls.

I then found the Lindsay Letters Milkglass Florals canvas art and DeAnn’s Free Like the Flowers canvas. I have been a fan of Lindsay and DeAnn for years, and I was so excited to purchase these items when they had sales last year for my office space. They are stunning in person, and I really believe they make the space!

As you can tell from our kitchen, and Instagram stories I am a huge fan of repurposing items. This workbench was a gift to my husband many years ago from his mother, because he is a woodworker. We loved the piece so much that we kept it on our hallway instead of his workshop. Fast forward a couple of years and I was in need of a desk for my office space. In hopes of saving money, I knew this workbench would make the prettiest desk with an even better story to tell with all of its knicks. Our kitchen island is also a workbench and I love it so much! Its large surface area really allows me to spread out my papers and my thoughts. Perfect for any brainstorming session!

My gold pouf was pulled from our children’s bedroom, because I love it so! It is fun to prop my feet on it and sit back as I write a blog post.

My basket houses my camera supplies. I use baskets to store almost everything in my house!

A pink cake stand from Hobby Lobby adds a fun flair of inspiration with some foraged flowers inside of a thrifted copper teapot.

All of the pretty details, like my jewelry cloche, help with inspiration!

My scissors, pens, and sticky notes are not an eyesore inside an old Ikea lace vase.

My Hobby Lobby farmhouse cabinet is the place where I store upcoming blog project supplies, some hobbies I am dabbling with like embroidery and hand lettering, extra electronics like my ipad and chargers, extra paper, and more magazines.

On top of the cabinet is where I keep current reading materials and important papers. A thrifted gold planter makes my current magazines easily accessible.

My thrifted copper platter keeps some washi tape and my favorite candle.

My office chair is white and chic so that the vintage pieces stand out. I also love keeping my DIY Pom Pom Blanket nearby to add an extra layer of cozy to my space.
