DIY Whimsical Felted Floral Bouquet with Clover

I am so inspired by flowers, and I love incorporating them into my craft projects. So today I have a really sweet and charming Spring craft inspired by colorful florals! Like all of Clover’s products, their Needle Felting Tools make it so easy for you to create your own custom felt embellishments. I loved using their Needle Felting Tools to create these Christmas ornaments, this Valentine’s Wreath last year, and a Fall Wreath. I’ve always loved the whimsical and sweet look of felt, but I was intimidated by the needle felting process until I discovered Clover’s Needle Felting Tools. Clover’s Needle Felting Tools allow you to safely create any felting shapes you want with such ease and all while having so much fun! The possibilities are endless, and I am so excited to continue to experiment with more felting techniques.

Continue below for the step-by-step pictorial to make your own Whimsical Felted Floral Bouquet with Clover’s Needle Felting Tools
To make your own felted florals, you will need:
Create the Wire Petals
Cut five wire pieces. Twist the wire into a large circle to create the base for the flower petal.
Create the Felted Floral Petals
Tear a small piece from the wool roving. Pull apart and separate the wool fibers to create a beautiful mess.
Place the stretched wool fibers onto Clover’s Needle Felting Mat, then stab Clover’s Felting Needle Tool into the loose fibers.
Turn the wool fibers over, and continue to stab the fibers with Clover’s Felting Needle Tool until the fibers are fully integrated.
Place the wire petal outline on top of the wool.
Remove the top portion of Clover’s Pen Style Needle Felting Tool, and twist the safeguard onto it.
Pull the wool over the wire petal, then Use Clover’s Needle Felting Tool to stab and integrate the wire into the wool.
Attach different color wool roving with Clover’s Needle Felting Tool to the top of the petal to add interest to the flower.
Create the Felted Stamen and Leaves
Cut a longer piece of wire, and create a circle on the end of the wire.
With the help of Clover’s Needle Felting Tool, attach wool roving to the top of wire to create the stamen of the flower.
Repeat the petal process and create the leaves for the flower.
Assemble the Felted Flowers
Bend the flower petals, and assemble the 5 flower petals and the stamen together by wrapping a piece of wire around the base of the flower.
Continue to wrap the wire around the base to create the stem.
Twist green wool roving around the wire stem of the flower, and attach it to the wire with hot glue to create a finished look.

Create felted florals in vibrant colors and bring them together to create a bouquet.
Place them inside of a sweet vase, then display for all to enjoy!
